A Farewell To Summer

As summer began many people were anxious to begin enjoying the summer.

Donn Cottom, teacher at South East High School, is one of the many who enjoyed the summer. For Cottom, his summer began on June 23, 2009.

Cottom spent his vacation in Hawaii with his wife and two children, ages one and two. When asked what the highlight of his summer was he said, "I was in Maui on the road to the rain forest when my one year old began laughing and he made everyone else laugh." His vacations were busy and restful. "I think this is one of my best summer vacations," said Cottom.

At the end, when asked if there was anything else he would have liked to do Cottom said, "No it was okay, but then again, there is always more to do. Although at times the weather was hot, Cottom enjoyed his 2009 summer.
